The largest stone bridge in Europe is located in Argostoli

The historic bridge De Bosset ή Devosetos bridge or for the common people o "Points" is the largest stone bridge in Europe with a length of 689,9 meters.

It was built in its original form by the Swiss engineer Charles-Philippe De Bosset, a British army officer and commander of Cephalonia and connects the capital of Cephalonia, Argostoli, with the opposite coast ("Tabakika"), forming its artificial "border". Koutavos lagoon.

The architecture is characterized by successive caverns.

It has been respected by time since it was first built (1812) - two centuries have passed -, it was saved from the bombing of the Italians with a few cracks (1940), it avoided last minute explosions by the Germans (1944) and finally it endured with dignity blows of Egelados (1953). He struggled with the bureaucracy when it found it difficult to give the right treatments (rehabilitation solutions), to characterize it as a monument and makes it a pedestrian street.

Today it is probably the most important monument of the island and definitely the most romantic walk of Argostoli.
