Attiki-Pitta honey travels to 37 countries of 5 continents

In 1928 the brothers Alexandros and Panagiotis Pittas, realize the prospects of Greek honey and found the Attica Beekeeping Company "Attiki-Pittas". They are pioneers by having in safe and guaranteed packaging branded the bulk honey until then, creating in the 30's, new possibilities of use and disposal of Greek honey and at the same time begin exports.

Today the Attiki-Pittas is the largest Greek company in the industry.

The second generation of businessmen, the brothers George Pittas and Alexandra Pitta - Hazapi, systematically evolved the business, established the branded product and substantially supported the Greek beekeeping. They created a family business model where principles and tradition are harmonized with modern research and modern management.

For our country and Greek companies, the past three years have been extremely critical. In this difficult environment the Attiki-Pittas succeeded and expanded its network of exporting countries. The list of more than 37 countries on all five continents now includes new countries such as South Korea, Bahrain, Romania, Thailand, Vietnam, Libya. In addition, during the 2015-2016 harvest, the company bought 50% more containers of Greek honey, ie an additional 30.000 containers, from the 2014-2015 harvest.

The company renewed its image in the digital world, with a new modern website (www.attiki-pitttas.gr), two pages on FB (one for the Greek market (MeliAttiki) and one for foreign markets (AttikiHoneyInternational)), an Instagram page (attikihoney) and a new youtube channel (MelliAttiki).

It also expands the range of practical and modern packaging for honey, launching the Greek ATTICA honey in a Stick 8g package.

Starting from the love for Greek honey, despite the rapid changes that occur in trade and consumption, Attiki-Pittas continues for another 88 years, respecting consumers and the environment and offering excellent taste products.
