The (c) ists of Kalymnos won the impressions in HORECA 2018

At HORECA 2018, at the Pavilion of the Hotel Chamber of Greece, the Kalymnos presented the Greek Breakfast of her place. It was a repetition of his majestic presentation Greek Breakfast of Kalymnos which had taken place in Agios Savvas on the island last October.

And of course the impressions were stolen by shooters of Kalymnos, as presented by the two housewives-cooks Kyra-Maria and Kyra-Nomiki.

OGyristes, yristes or koulourates are the sweet that the housewives of Kalymnos are accustomed to share their joys and sorrows. They are shared and offered at weddings, festivals, but also for the funeral of the dead.

The ingredients of poverty: first, flour, yeast, orange zest and juice, salt and beyond if you have excess, sugar, mastic, ouzo and frying in olive oil.

And of course drenched in the famous honey of Kalymnos and sometimes sprinkled with cinnamon or almond crumbs.

The Greek breakfast from Kalymnos was presented -along with its contributors- by the president of the Hoteliers Association Nikolaos Tsagaris.

All the visitors of the kiosk bowed to the smoked pasta of the Kalymnos Women's Cooperative… because Kalymnos is not only sponges, but also the best fishermen of the Aegean… and of course the best pasta… mackerel, tuna, swordfish, lacquer and especially the white and red tuna fillet, mackerel and swordfish, octopus ink and roe swordfish.

In the background on the left, octopus meatballs and chickpea meatballs!

They were also honored leaves... the dolmades of Kalymnos.

Kopanisti, krasotyri, the green and dry mizythra were presented from Kalymniotika cheeses.

There were also, sage jelly, prosemary & heptazymia breads, rusks heptazymia carob, oil and thrips, the Bread and the Offer of the Church, zest (the ψraw gift to mother-in-law), jams.

For the sweetness of the taste there was the GALAKTOBOUREKO Kalymnos and other sweets such as kopehai, almond paste, kalymnos flora paste, alternative Cheese Cake, pouches, the mandarins of the valley of Vathi and the excellent loukoumia delicacies (sage) and mandarin!
