Lake Kerkini is home to the largest number of buffaloes in Greece, which are animals adapted to live in wetlands. Today, the 2000 water buffalo They revived the area of ​​Lake Kerkini, which developed as an area of ​​high tourist interest with many attractions, hostels, taverns, buffalo breeders and buffalo meat standardizers and of course has many prospects to develop into a great gastronomic destination.
