Cafe the Moschoudaki of Moschoula Portokali
The traditional cafe of Moschoula Portokali, the Musk, is in a conversation its most beautiful cafe Amorgos and one of the most interesting in Greece. It has no history of Preka cafe in Katapola, does not have its legend of Parva cafe in Chora, does not have his parties Dancer in Tholaria. But it is the most beautiful and has a tradition of being commanded by women for 70 years: the Moscow Dendrinou at the beginning and then, from the end of the 20th century, her daughter Orange Moscow.
The store was before the war trifle, which is why it is so big and so high. He turned it into a cafe Dimitris Dendrinos, a man from Moscow, in 1945, shortly after the war.
The cafe is beautiful. The roof is a roof that, in order to withstand the large openings, two H-shaped iron beams have been used and snakes (the cedars, very hard trees with a small trunk) and chestnuts rest on them, which in turn have a skin reeds and wide boards. The composition of the roof with the materials mentioned above and with colors, a green electric for the ceiling and a red vermillion for the irons, is a work of art to which Kounelis would bow!
The walls are thick of whitewashed stones and where they make arches their natural color is visible.
The tezaki (the wooden partition that separated the coffee maker from the rest of the cafe) has the same colors, while the counter has boards and some rhythmically curved gaps.
To τοίχους beautiful period decorations, while the lighting is made by two large fireplaces with light bulbs.
Moschoudaki is worked by Mrs. Moschoula, a few hours a day. From 10.00-13.30 and 18.00-22.00. Mrs. Moschoula endures so much. And from goodies, coffees, ouzo, beer, local cheeses, tomatoes from the garden, fav meatballs, her own elixirs and some nice salad.
And of course plenty of time for fooling around and chatting with the lady of the cafe.
