The Liostasi Hotel & Suites - without many spins - is an example hotel for Virus but also for the whole of Greece.

We are not so moved that it is the only five star hotel in Ios, which is member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World and that it's about the top boutique hotel of the island. We are not satisfied with our enthusiasm for its unique view of the sunset and the port of the island, two steps from the beaches or the famous nightlife of Ios. Nor for its high aesthetics at all levels, which combines modern minimal trends with authentic island architecture.

What makes it stand out from all the other hotels in its category is his story.

Created by Artemis and Despina Denaxa, a couple of local professionals, started its operation in 1997 with the purchase of a common 13-room hotel in the urban fabric of the settlement. Since then, year after year, they both have not stopped learning from work and from their partners, making departmental extensions, renovating, modernizing, creating swimming pools, restaurants, outdoor cinema, a number of service facilities spa, for beauty, toning and wellness.

Result 20 years later, the Liostasi Hotel & Suites to be one of the most popular and popular hotels that Ios has and of course to be an ideal choice for distinguished travelers, looking for a quiet refuge for a dream vacation in the Cyclades.

I got to know the hotel well in 2017 when its facilities hosted the presentation of the Greek Breakfast of Ios. The team of Liostasi Hotel & Suites prepared many breakfast dishes based on both the traditional recipes of Ios and the high quality felt cheeses and other local products.

What I noticed and admired is that you rarely meet such quality architecture and design, such a high level of service with such a human and warm presence of staff and executives that was decisively sealed by the presence of the immovable Despina Denaxa.

For the history the creative team of the hotel are the architects Panagiota Petridou, the designer Antonis Kalogridis, The photographer Christos Drazos , the architect Evangelia Vasilatou and the hotel manager Dimitris Drettakis (for the restaurant Grandma's Restaurant of the hotel there is a standalone article).
