Agnanti, Tavern - Ouzo

Ο Ktikados is a traditional and very picturesque village in Teno, with a mixed population of Orthodox and Catholics and is located near the town of Of Tinos, with a unique view of Kionia. Walking inside the village, to reach Tavern - Ouzo to Agnanti, we will find beautiful traditional houses and churches, cobbled alleys and arches, marble lintels and fountains.

In Ktikados it is revived on Easter Monday, the custom of Love, where the villagers all eat together. The same happens every Sunday, February 2, after the operation of Ypapantis and the procession of its image Panagia of Megalomata - as it is said - in the streets of the village, when the inhabitants end up in the only tavern that works in winter.

The Ouzo the Agnanti, or as many know it Mrs. Eleni's grocery store, has a history close to a century. Her father built the grocery store in 1927 and Mrs. Eleni received it in 1969. For some years the grocery stores and grocery stores were gone, Mrs. Eleni remembers the people not only from the village but also from Gonia and Tripotamos coming here to to shop, but also to bite something casual as was usual in such places. All this until the supermarkets that disappeared disappeared. Around 2000, o Giannis Harikiopoulos, her brother, retired and after working for years as a waiter in Chora and "stealing ideas", he turned the grocery store into a tavern.

The appetizers in Agnanti are excellent, local cheeses, louza, froutalia with sausages and potatoes, pumpkin meatballs. In winter in the warm atmosphere of the old grocery store it is worth trying "Lamb" local mushrooms, grilled or cooked, while in the summer on the elegant terrace to enjoy local lentils: baked goat, artichokes local cooks, braised rabbit, lemongrass beef.
