The company Tsantalis SA with the flagship the Tsantali winery of St. Paul in Halkidiki, is the largest Greek winery, with privately owned vineyards over 5.000 acres and with so many others contracted, with over 80 labels and with 50% of the production being exported to 55 countries.

The family Bag is one of the oldest families winemakers of Greece, as it has been engaged in viticulture, winemaking and the production of spirits since 1890.

Its 125-year history unfolds in parallel with the important events of the recent history of the country and its beginning comes from the exile. THE Evangelos Tsantalis (1913-1996), 2nd generation winemaker and one of the most charismatic personalities in the history of Greek winemaking, managed to turn the small family business into a dynamically growing brand name and the most important ambassador of Greek winemaking and distillery abroad with a presence in 55 countries. In the 2015-2016 Edition "Families of Wine" of the renowned Publishing House Meininger, the Tsantali family is among the 59 top families in the industry from around the world.

The revival of some of the most special vineyards of Northern Greece - such as Mount Athos, Halkidiki, Rapsani and Maronia in Thrace - is a feature of the vision of the Tsantali family. These vineyards together with him vineyard of Naoussa, where the famous red variety Xinomavro is cultivated, as well as the vineyard of Santorini (commercial cooperation with Association of Cooperatives of Santorini) are the areas where the dozens of high quality labels of wines and spirits of the company are produced, transporting the unique wine traditions of their places all over the world, while the 3rd and 4th generation of the Tsantali family continue with the same momentum its history .

The central winery Tsantali is located in Agios Pavlos of Halkidiki, next to the 20 hectares (200 acres) vineyard in an impressively large building that is designed to receive and manage large quantities of grapes. The total annual production capacity of the winery reaches 20 million liters (in wine and spirits), the underground cellar houses more than 2000 oak barrels, while the wine cellar gives wine lovers the opportunity to taste the company's wines from all its vineyards. .

Finally, ouzo and tsipouro are distilled in the traditional abysses according to secret recipe of the Tsantali family, passed down from generation to generation for more than 100 years. In special high-tech abysses, the premium tsipouro AVATON is produced from selected grapes of Mount Athos.
