Sifnos, home of the first famous Greek chef of the early 20th century, Nikos Celemente.

Sifniki land, land that generously provides its minimal products to housewives, who in turn use them to turn need into solution.

Something similar happens with Loli, the delicious pumpkin pie of Sifnos.

Its name seems to derive from the fact that it is generally made "lola", that is, with the imagination, the fun and with whatever material the housewife has at the time she makes it.

The main ingredients of Loli are pumpkinThe raisin, the honey, the πορτοκάλι, the flour and Sesame seeds.

Every housewife or cook, from there on, uses juice or even crumbs of orange, olive oil, brandy, liqueur, cinnamon, cloves or any other material that is convenient for her.

Loli, although considered a fasting pie, looks more like a cake, as long as it is not made like standard pies, with dough sheets on top and bottom.

Loli base is the pumpkin cut into cubes. In a large bowl, mix the pumpkin pieces with the flour and the rest of the ingredients. Spread the mixture on a baking sheet and sprinkle with plenty of sesame seeds. When it comes out of the oven, it is cut into pieces, such as a walnut pie. The color of Loli, but also its taste, is always a surprise.

Because of course, it has to do with the laziness of every cook!
