Since then and every year, this Festival with its many events is an opportunity, both for the people of Drama and for the visitors of the area, to have fun, to visit the seven wineries that can be visited (Pavlidis Estate, Costa Lazaridis Estate, Chateau Nico Lazaridi, Manolesaki Estate, Wine Art Estate, Ktima Michailidis, Oenogenesis) of Vineyard of Drama, to be guided in their facilities, to learn the process of wine production, to taste wines but also to meet the winemakers themselves, was also an occasion to discuss and reflect, the position of wine as a focus of development in the region.

At the same time, on the occasion of Wine tourism - as Drama can be established as a destination for wine tourism - it contributes to making known all the sights of the area.

“Draminognosia” Festival

During the festival the city of Drama is on foot all week, with lectures of a scientific nature, tastings, musical events and artistic events. The closing of the events takes place in the crowded central square, where a giant 5-meter bottle offers 1.000 liters of dram wine to the world, to the sounds of riotous percussions and bronze by local organ players.
