Ο Costas Lazaridis, the youngest son of George Lazaridis, from a young age took over the role of commercial representative of his father's marble company in Germany from 1967. He did this job with great success and at some point the Lazaridis marbles had employed 600 people. In 1979, at his home outside Drama, due to his love for foreign varieties, he planted his first vineyard with 100 acres as a hobby. Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Assyrtiko. They continued to come and go in Germany, but from year to year the vineyard grew, adding new varieties such as Merlot, the Syrah, the Chardonnay, semillon but also the Agiorgitiko.
