Oenogenesis

Η Oenogenesis, its most recent winery Draminou vineyard, operated in 2007, by the man who 20 years ago, was the first professional to deal with Dramine wine. Indeed ο Bakis Tsalkos coming from France in 1987, he took over as an oenologist winery of the Lazaridis brothers and with his knowledge and his passion he put his little stone in the genesis of the Dramino vineyard. When the two brothers divorced, he took over winery of Nikos Lazaridis and among other things created the excellent "Magic Mountain".

For his winery, Bakis Tsalkos has invested around € 2007 million since 10 in vineyards, wineries and infrastructure. His winery is located in the middle of vineyards of Doxatos and pleasantly surprises its visitors with its imposing Macedonian architecture as the building with its fortress structure, loggias and colors strongly resembles externally and internally with its courtyard, the monastery of Mount Athos or united large Macedonian mansions.

The winery was organized on three levels. The basement houses the barrel cellar and the bottling boxes. On the ground floor in separate areas are the wineries, bottling and storage areas.

Forty stainless steel tanks with a total capacity of 400.000 liters can produce 250.000 liters of wine from the privately owned vineyards of 250.000 acres.

The upper floor has a beautiful view of the vineyards, and is suitable for tastings and for wine and social events.

Estate Oinogenesis

From his wines in a row Skylights There are White Skylights from the Sauvignon Blanc and Assyrtiko varieties, Rose Skylights from Grenache Rouge and Cabernet Sauvignon and Red Skylights from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot kai Cabernet Franc.

The series Scherzo has two semi-dry wines, one white from Moschato Alexandria and the rosé from Grenache Rouge and overripe Merlot.

The Θhyrsus is a white wine from the Malagouzia and Viognier varieties created by Aleko Tsalkos, the new generation of the family.

However, the big diva but also the weakness of Bakis Tsalkos is the turn Ten marked with the Latin X, red from the varieties Merlot and Xinomavro (with aromas of dark fruit, chocolate, sweet spice) and white from the varieties Sauvignon Blanc, Ugni Blanc, Semillon (with aromas of ripe fruit, vanilla, roasted dry fruits).

Ο Bakis Tsalkos targets US and Manhattan markets. And we are sure that he will succeed!
