At 17 Ionos Dragoumi, in the center Drama, the store is located Cold Cuts - Cheese Ioannis Fotis Beggas. We met him and among the appetizers he offered us I loved the chicken breast in turmeric and thyme, which we accompanied with the necessary sea bream.

Ο Fotis Begas, is not a random person and you are happy to talk to him. Apart from being a butcher, he has developed a great cultural activity as he remains the longest-serving president of the Thracian Center of Drama (since 1995), an association that brings to life the memories of Northern and Eastern Thrace.

In 1974 he received it from Galenzo-Gatidis's uncles "Northern Greece" Meat Factory, a workshop that conveys the passion and knowledge of the grandparents - they had created the bases from afar 1916 - and since then he has undertaken to pass on the inheritance to his children, one has taken over the production and the other the retail.

Η Meat factory Northern Greece successfully completes 100 years in the creation of cold cuts with flavors unique mainly from the wider Thrace, basing on tradition for four generations combining quality with modern technology.

From the goodies that won in many competitions, we singled out:

• Smoked ham from tender pork fillet, based on a special and old family recipe.
• Rural-style sausage from beef, pork and mutton a blend that obeys an old grandparents' recipe.
• Rustic hot horseshoe from beef, pork and mutton with aromas and spicy taste of local spices.
• Village sausage with leek from beef, pork and mutton
• Prussia Sausage from beef and pork, an old oriental blend, dominated by the strong taste of garlic.
• Suzuki Politiko made from pieces of beef and mutton.
• Sausages Karamanlidika, a traditional Karamanlidi recipe.
• And of course they are not missing pasturmas from beef steak, or from beef noua or even from a piece of pork.
