Η bakery Lemnos of brothers Poriazi is the largest and oldest bakery on the island. The nuts they keep the traditional recipe of the grandmother since 1919 when about a century ago a local traditional wood oven was founded that produced in addition to bread and rusks. Its main feature is its vertical production.

Fotini Poriazi, the granddaughter of the founder of the bakery, just finished philology, but took over the communication and marketing of the company. His Excellency guides us to the facilities of 500 meters, from the workshop, the oven, to the packaging plant but also to the field work and the flour mill.

I had the harvest season and watched the work of the harvester in the calm fields of the island. In front of the machine and behind the gulls by dozens to clean the earth from the bugs that until now were hidden in the ears of corn. The company manages more than 3.000 acres of cereals, from where it produces the nutrient-rich flour of the land of Limnia. Apart from the bites and the nuts (wheat, whole grain, barley), the crackers, the traditional buns that the Poriazi brothers's bakery distributes under its own brand, it also distributes its nuts and its label AB Vassilopoulos.
