The Hadjigeorgiou Estate is the first large private winery on the island. Founder and "soul" of the winery o Petros Chatzigeorgiou, although an entrepreneur in the trade of drinks and wines, he loved the island and decided to settle in Lemnos and become a winemaker.

Very quickly, Hadjigeorgiou Estate became the most innovative winery in Lemnos.

Today, Hadjigeorgiou Estate has a state-of-the-art wine production unit in the area Karpasi. In addition to the grapes that come from his own vineyards, Petros Hadjigeorgiou ensures the best fruit of the island from selected producers.

"Ktima Hatzigeorgiou currently has an annual production that reaches 300.000 bottles and has 95% of it in the Greek market. Unfortunately, out of 2.500.000 liters of wine that are vinified on the island, only 1/3 is bottled in Lemnos and we at the Estate try to make the best, while maintaining an excellent value for money ", tells us the pioneering winemaker.

Recently, the daughter of the winemaker, oenologist with studies in France, Polina Hadjigeorgiou, created two sparkling wines utilizing the aromatic character of Moschato Alexandria, Moscato D 'Ifestia and Lagopati and available and consumed in the domestic market
