The olive mill - printing house "Pelion Olive Oil - Voliotis Family" is located in Ano Lechonia and has a rich history in the field of processing, standardization and distribution of olive oils.

The first olive mill of the Voliotis family started its operation in the village of Agios Vlasios, Pelion in 1969 by Evangelos Voliotis and 1981 relocated to new facilities in the area of ​​Ano Lechonia, at the 10th kilometer of the provincial national road Volos-Tsagarada.

There, in a large and renovated space, all the modern equipment is installed for the realization of the cycle of processes, from the collection of the oils to the disposal of the oil, now headed by Apostolos Voliotis - son of Evangelos Voliotis - and his hyperactive wife Marianthi.

Utilizing the rich resources of the land of Pelion, the special tradition and in combination with the modern facilities, the new equipment, the passion and the hard work, the family business produces quality, nutritious and tasty oil.

With a continuous history of 50 years in the field of oil production "Pelion Olive Oil" has gained the trust of the consumer public both in Greece and abroad, where it already exports to 8 countries.

There are four categories of oil produced by the company "Olive Oil of Pelion" of the Voliotis family:

  • Extra Virgin Organic Olive Oil
  • Extra Virgin Primrose Oil
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Virgin olive oil

The mill is one family business and this can be seen by someone coming either as a producer or as a visitor where he will immediately feel the warmth and hospitality as we felt when Apostle and Marianthi they toured our place:

«The standardization of olive oil is done, after a strict control of the quality of the oil by the Ministry of Development and AGROCERT, in a certified private standardization and in numbered packages.

The Extra Virgin Olive Oil that we produce is the fruit juice of the olive and it is a medicine since its processing is done with real cold pressing without the intervention of water and centrifugation at any stage of the processing. The polyphenols and other rich nutrients of unheated virgin olive oil are not carried away in the waste, so its nutritional value remains high and stands out from its aroma, taste and thick texture.

Our great pride is the Health Affirmation Awards which we have also won from the London International Olive Oil Health Competitions 2019.

The visits that our olive mill accepts are from schools, clubs, excellent and well-known chefs either Greek or foreign and from people who want to meet us and supply our local products. We also have many visits from Israelis to honor the story of our grandfathers who, with self-sacrifice and risk to their lives and their families, hosted for a year during the occupation 18 members of the Hakim Jewish family. As a result, the Jewish community awarded them the highest honor and recognized them on March 10, 2015 as Righteous of the Nations, with their names engraved on the Yad Vashem monument in Jerusalem».
