For more than 80 years the Hadjiemmanuel family deals with vineyard and wine.

In 1929, when grandfather Nikos - a refugee from Central Asia - began to produce his first wines in a small winery in Marmaroto, on its south side of the island of Kos buying mainly grapes from growers. He soon became known for the quality of his sweet wines, which he made with a traditional, almost primitive technique, "With a lie".

Although viticulture and wine production on the island were gradually abandoned in favor of tourist activities, his son, Costas, did not hesitate to take over the reins of the family business, a few years later. 2000 was the turn of the third generation and the big changes.

Ο Vassilis Hadjiemmanuel He traveled to Santorini at that time and was impressed by the way the Santorini people promoted wine. He leaves the work we did with Tourism, dedicates himself to wine and with the help of his father he plants new vineyards with Greek and international varieties, while he also builds a new winery in the area. Asfendiou, on the main road of the island. The old concrete tanks and the cauldron for bread were replaced by stainless steel tanks and oak barrels. At the end of the 2000s, the showroom is created - it is taken over by his wife Joanna - and so the winery can be visited by individuals and groups. Of his three children, Konstantinos is studying Oenology and so the fourth generation is preparing to take the reins.

The vineyards of the winery are located in Asfendi, at an altitude of 105 meters, and cover a total area of ​​60 acres. Greek and International grape varieties are grown in them, especially Malagouzia and Assyrtiko, where they coexist harmoniously with Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache Rouge and Syrah.

The average annual production is around 40.000 bottles of wine.
