Traditional house of Kefalos

What I like in my travels is to get "hares" out of nowhere, finding people who live their lives, do their job humbly, but with their authenticity and passion offer pleasant surprises to their visitors. This time I found a hangout in Head of Kos, which opened recently and I think it will make history on the island, because I think it's worth it!

Η Mullet is a village at the southwestern tip of the island Kos, about 42 km from the city of Kos and 16 km from the International Airport and is famous for its many and beautiful beaches, often awarded with Blue Flags.

In the traditional settlement the visitor encounters the typical island architecture with the narrow alleys and the houses next to each other while the inhabitants still maintain their special locality.

Just before you reach Kefalos, on your right hand side opposite the entrance to Markos beach you will meet the Traditional house of Kefalos.

Michalis and Anna Marangou After building their modern house and at the same time in the same building some apartments for rent, they decided to find their "redemption" in tradition.

And they began to reach with their hands to the large estate they had a village! They started with representation of the traditional house of Kefalos with incredible objects and rare relics that invite the visitor to get to know the history, tradition and way of life of the inhabitants.

One followed puppet brown with a covered courtyard, corridors elaborately paved, leading to wood ovens, cookers, barbecues, all between fruit trees and flowers.

Mrs. Anna with her little hands took over variety of local delicacies. Cheese of drinking with local elixirs, local bean stew with onion, deep-fried and cooked pork (a poem), crispy chickpea meatballs, thick pork, garlic, cabbage salad with pomegranate, dolmadas kotika.

The service in the cafe is done by the couple, where both of them are outside heart, and share with their guests the liveliness their, the passion and especially the their joy for life and creation.
