A producer with a personality in Patmos It is Christodoulos Koumanis. He and his brother took over the oven from their father Theologos, which was a wood-fired oven after the war and then became a "German oven" (using modern German technology) and supplied the island with bread for decades. Christodoulos, anxious, studied confectionery in 1991 and in 1992 left the family bakery to his brother making a candy store to apply his art.

Although in Christodoulos patisserie You will find all the variety of typical sweets of the country (cakes, pastes, sweets for all tastes, ice creams), but also for all occasions (weddings, birthdays, baptisms, treats, pastries) what made him famous are the local sweets of the island and especially the cheese pie of Patmos which is adored by foreign visitors.

And if in winter he works only with the local population, in summer he knows to foreigners the patina sweets which of course become breathtaking. Starring the fluffy Patinioti Cheese Pie with the three types of cheese, the fried pouches (made with dough next to it) and the grilled pouches (with tart dough) and the two stuffed with walnut, almond, honey and flower water, the pears (macaroon sprinkled with powdered sugar), and Christodoulos Koumanis -always happy and generous- holds its flag high patina gastronomy, always making the island white-faced in as many events and exhibitions in Greece and abroad as it represents.
