Folklore Workshop of the Municipality of Ermionida

The Folklore Workshop of the Municipality of Ermionida has a reputation that followed us wherever we went in the countryside and asked about issues around the tradition and gastronomy of the area.

So once or twice we made an appointment at their place to meet them active women of the club, with a secret hope of giving us some rare local recipes.

The team of the laboratory welcomed us with full composition and complete organization!

The pots were boiling, the pans were burning and the rolling mills were opening leaves!

The one lentil we had asked to be shown had translated into how they would introduce us to gastronomy of Ermionida.

Our big surprise. Great material but mainly a unique atmosphere of cooperation, joy of creation. We photographed, learned and had a good time. They told us:

"Our team was created out of love for the place, with the aim of studying history and folklore, but also the revival of old customs, culture, way of life. We actively participate in the cultures of our place and most importantly we have become a meeting place, social contact, making our place better for us, and the visitors.

Volunteering is an issue that touches us all. It is an extremely educational function that strengthens social solidarity, enhances active participation and coexistence, giving new content to our lives. It combines the love of the amateur, the consistency of the professional, the discipline of the soldier and the selflessness of the senior man ".

The Folklore Workshop of the Municipality of Ermionida belongs to the Legal Entity of the Municipality of Ermionidos is located in Kranidi, was founded on December 16, 2012 by volunteers of our place and continues its voluntary action until today.

Its active members are: Avdouli Lykourioti Katerina, Zerva Spyridoula, Kontogianni Mona, Kordoni Maria, Liosi Koula, Maniati Mika, Bouzoumi Argyroula, Daouliari Vivi, Daouliari Chatzistagrou Matina, Pouloui Saryli, Poulou Eri.
