Chrysovulo

Η Moni Emvasis Luxury Suites is a small but extremely tastefully designed guest house at its entrance Monemvasia. Its main ingredients, apart from hospitality and warmth, through the comfort and luxury of its rooms, is the great emphasis it places on gastronomy.

Apart from the rich Greek Breakfast it serves, it has to offer its excellent dishes of "Chrysovoulo" restaurant which coexists with the hostel. The restaurant of the Monastery is also addressed to customers outside the hotel and operates in a closed room and in a semi-outdoor area.

The Lilliputian roofed terrace, which protects you from the blinding sun of Kastropolitia, undoubtedly has the most beautiful view of Monemvasia, as it is close to the sea, while in between are two or three rows of medieval houses with beautiful tiles on their elegant four-tiered roofs.

The foods we singled out were:

• "Chrysovoulo" salad with mixed salads, arugula, spinach, colorful peppers, cherry tomatoes, radishes, carrot, kritamo, spicy prickly pear hearts, marinated mushrooms, convergence of Monemvasia and citrus vinaigrette.
• Lobster tails in kadaifi foil with spicy mousse of handmade taramo salad,
• Smoked eggplant with tahini sauce, thyme honey, roasted pine nuts and crumbled feta,
• The traditional shuttles with handmade foil filled with vegetables and herbs, grilled with basil olive oil,
• Barley with shrimps marinated in ouzo, vegetables and light tomato sauce.
• Skiufikta with chicken, mushrooms, white wine, white truffle oil and gruyere,
• Milk lamb leg, cooked in the pot with vegetables, tarragon and honey, served with mashed potatoes.
• Fish kidney stuffed with green apple, mushrooms, fresh onion and thyme with smoked cheese sauce.
• Fresh grilled calamari with grilled vegetables in olive oil and Louisa sauce.
• Fried petrobarbuna of Monemvasia.

These dishes are accompanied by great wines from the Greek vineyard, which you choose from a rich wine list.

Calm and peaceful, isolated from the flow of visitors in the alleys of the city, and with an impressive view without a trace of aesthetic disturbance, the Chrysovulo restaurant it is one of the experiences that one should not miss during his stay in Monemvasia.
