The company sativa having a presence in the field of processing, standardization and export of edible olives since 1997, it started its journey from Molaus Laconia where its first factory was created, by the company's founders, brothers Papageorgiou Panagiotis and Papageorgiou Kyriaki.

The prefecture of Laconia is one of the main areas where the variety is grown "Kalamata Olives" and SATIVA SA is the largest enterprise in the sector in its municipality Monemvasia and one of the strongest in the Peloponnese.

We visited the company and spoke with Kyriaki Papageorgiou.

"The motivation for establishing the company was our love for him "olive culture" and our philosophy of man's relationship with the earth, nature and its products, leading to a better quality of life. We chose a prefecture that is flooded with olive groves and which is one of the main areas where the Kalamon Olive variety is grown. This is how we are in our natural environment, "cultivating" another relationship with the earth. But above all, we "cultivate" relationships of trust and long-term cooperation with our customers. Relationships that over the years have made SATIVA one of the most reliable suppliers for medium and large businesses in the food trade.

At SATIVA we specialize in Kalamon olives, but also in a wide range of all Greek olive varieties, cultivating ideas that differentiate our products and offer a competitive advantage to our customers.

We started with a turnover of 1.000.000 € and nowadays we exceed 6.000.000 € with 90% being exports to America and 70% of them to private labels of large chains.

Our main products are Kalamon olives whole, pitted, slices, halves, green olives, pitted, slices, green olives stuffed with natural pepper, green olives stuffed with pimento, pate and our Gourmet range which are:

  • Pitted Kalamon olives with a sprig of fresh oregano
  • Green olives stuffed with Kalamon
  • Pitted Kalamon olives with a sprig of fresh thyme

Now all our products in a new renewed look and packaging, which perfectly expresses our philosophy for the "olive culture", become even more attractive to consumers."

With the excellent raw material of the olive that the place generously gives with its climate but also with the labor and art of the farmer, the modern facilities of the factory and the successful marketing, the company SATIVA thanks to the relationships of trust that it cultivates with its customers , but also with her fresh ideas, she becomes one of the best ambassadors of Elia Kalamon and of our country, of course, all over the world.
