Melitzani Estate

Her name Melitzani family is associated with the vineyard and wine since 1918. Today the third generation of the family cultivates 45 acres in the place Hull, in a charismatic vineyard of the area of ​​Naoussa, of which 35 have been applied since 2000 organic farming.

The winery Ktima Melitzani, a classic example of a family business, is located in Naoussa and has a total production capacity of 30.000 bottles. The main volume of their production is directed to the label OPAP Naoussa circulating in the internal market. Characteristic is the stamp of personal work in all stages of viticulture, production and marketing.

The two winemakers of the Melitzani family "Tony" and "Memos", Prisoners of tradition had an ignominious end, when one after another they drowned in a large tank of must, in a strange and tragic accident.

The continuation of the tradition for the Melitzani Estate (the winery was founded in 1918) was taken over by their nephew Stelios Giamalidis, her husband Elisabeth Eggplant, niece of Antonis, who had been working with them since 1993, in the vineyard and winery.
