Inside Grove of Ag. Nikolaou, a park of unique beauty in the hills of Naoussa, with tall trees, a river that runs icy waters where trout swim, with paths and cobbled streets, are the "Four Seasons", A tavern-restaurant that never closes, all 4 seasons of the year.

We are greeted by a tall, handsome man Vassilis Lafaras, with an open heart and - from what our discussion showed - and an open mind.

«My wife is Cretan, and we lived in Crete, she worked there as an assistant social work teacher. In 2010, after we had both our children, we wanted to come here to Naoussa, my place of origin, to work and have another quality of life. Here children can play in the street, live a quiet life, doing what we both love».

The main workload of the restaurant "Four Seasons" is from early May to late September. However, all year round, families come here, groups of people who want to eat, drink their tsipouro with a good meze, mainly Greeks, locals from Naoussa, but also those who come for a day trip from the surrounding areas.

«In Naoussa the inhabitants cook", Vassilis tells us. «That is, not every household means not to cook every day! And we follow our customs and traditional habits. For example, on Saturday we always eat fish, we get it fresh, from the fishmongers who go to the fish ladder of Nea Michaniona. I like good food, this is what I want to offer to the people who come to the store».

The food that one can eat here are both the traditional dishes of the area (γαβόψαρα, manza), mountain greens, mushrooms, cooked meats, as well as grilled meats, game and wild boar, sausages, cuts served on a large wooden platter.

«But good food is not enough. We need to see our place as a whole and highlight the wealth of Naoussa, from our wines and our unique variety, the xinomavro, to our tastes and our traditional cuisine!»

Vassilis wanted to change a bit in what he is Saint Nicholas, but also in what is gastronomy of Naoussa. His course so far and his will predetermine his success. We just wholeheartedly wish him the best of luck!
