Bioporos Farm

In the south Corfu, on the way to Leukemia, after Vraganiotika, if you turn one point to the right, on the sign that says BIOPOROS - Visitable Ecological Farm, you will find yourself in a magical place. In front of you, the beautiful Lake Korissia, a magnificent view, around you the hill full of trees, manicured vegetable gardens, beehives and cats sunbathing lazily in the sun. It is there the farm Bioporos, of Agathi and Kostas Vlassis, who decided the 1982 to buy an area of ​​70 acres with the prospect of building their own paradise.

The decision was not easy, since until then they lived in Athens, they had their jobs and their home there. But come on, Agathi and Kostas were two people who were deeply aware and ecologists of conviction. In 1987, with the birth of their first son, Kritonas, they gather and come to Corfu and create this estate, wanting to raise their children there, in nature and in freedom.

A calm environment of unique beauty, with open horizons, near the wetland with silver pelicans, herons, weevils and mallards (a pair of binoculars is leaning on the table for anyone wishing to observe the lake fauna), while at night with a telescope can admire the starry sky of Corfu.

Bioporos has a restaurant, in which Agathi prepares her amazing cooking - with biologically certified raw materials, most of the farm production - but also two villas for rent.

Those who will stay here, can participate in all phases of the farm life, watch the Good seminars, to take walks on trails, boating in the wetland, but also to swim in the nearby Issos beach with the unique dunes.

In cooking, Agathi "rips", her breakfast is rich, with organic products, olives, juices, jams, eggs from her 50 hens, honey from the hives of Gennaios' son, leavened bread baked by her hands in the wood oven, but also with pies, pastels and depending on the season fruits and vegetables. Her kitchen is Corfu with burdeta and sofrita, but it also prepares food for vegetarians, vegans and lactose and gluten allergy sufferers, culminating in its vegan moussaka!

Because, as she says, "Bioporos is not a restaurant, it is not a farm, it is a way of life!".
